The installation of the metering pump needs to lay the pipeline, so what problems should be paid attention to in the process of laying the pipeline?
To prevent pipeline vibration from drained end fluid, because of inertia resistance, it will produce pulse impact force on pipeline at the beginning of pump running. This is a peculiar phenomenon of reciprocating pump, which is caused by the sudden acceleration of liquid in pipeline.
In order to prevent this phenomenon, we require the discharge inertia resistance (Pid) to be less than 1.0kgf/cm2. When Pid reaches 1.0kgf/cm2, the pipeline will vibrate, which will cause adverse effects on the pump and its peripherals.
Terms of settlement:
1. installation of pulsating dampers
2. increase the diameter of the outlet pipe and shorten the length of the outlet pipeline.
The prevention of excess supply
Excessive supply is due to the flow inertia of the liquid in the pipeline, which affects the normal work of the check valve, causing the check valve to fail, resulting in the excessive and unstable flow of the pump. Whenever the suction side is under pressure or the pipeline is too long, it is possible to produce this phenomenon.
Therefore, we require the pressure difference of the pump > inertia resistance Pi (the larger in the inlet or outlet).
Terms of settlement:
1. installing pulsating dampers;
2. install back pressure valve;
3. as far as possible to shorten the length of the import and export pipeline.
We prevent the occurrence of cavitation
If the device NPSHa is not enough, the pump may be damaged due to cavitation or cavitation erosion. Therefore, we require the device's cavitation allowance, NPSHa > necessary NPSHr, NPSHa=Pa-Pv + Phs-Pis *.
